ENGLISH 101
English 101 is a college-level composition course taught in conjunction with Columbia Greene Community College.
A student needs to enroll at Columbia Greene Community College as a matriculating student and pay the tuition associated with the course.
Upon successful completion of the curriculum readings and assignments, a student will receive college credit.
Writings are based on text readings and other resources.
Narrative, persuasive, and research writing will be accentuated in preparation for future college courses.
Students will do a research paper and will cite sources and produce a bibliography. Students will be taught how to avoid the dangers of plagiarism.
An oral presentation is also a mandated component of this course.
