 Welcome to Mrs. Eckholm's Kindergarten!

Children are intrinsically motivated to learn as they are actively engaged! We have weekly centers that reinforce what we learn in Kindergarten. Centers allow the children the opportunity to become independent thinkers while practicing what they know!


To denote each center, an animal is used. Each animal represents an activity; a skill that is part of the kindergarten curriculum. The centers are set up all around the room, and have the picture of the animal next to it so your child will know where they are. Once your child is done with a center, they will be responsible for showing their work to an adult, and then may move on to stamp their card and move on to their next center. Center volunteers help check the work and clean up the center for the next child that goes to that center. If a child fills up their entire center card with stamps, they have the opportunity to do a free center of their choice!
