21st Century Careers

Mrs. Kuhn's 8th Grade FACS classes will enjoy a presentation on 21st Century Careers given by Chris Keating from IBM. Mr. Keating is a Project Manager for IBM and is a graduate of Ichabod Crane.  He travels all over the country working on projects that use technology to increase the quality of life and conserve natural resources. Our goal is to increase students' global awareness by explaining how engineers can travel to other parts of the world to implement projects such as water filtration to impoverished communities. He will emphasize the importance of developing strong math, science and communication skills for success in engineering and technology careers.
