After School Activities Canceled for Thursday, November 15

(November 15, 2018) All after school activities for Thursday, November 15 are canceled due to impending weather. This includes late buses, practices, games and the HS Ring Dinner.

This afternoon's parent/teacher conferences at the MS and PS are still taking place. The Ring Dinner is rescheduled for Tuesday, November 27 and the Spaghetti Dinner is rescheduled for Thursday, November 29.

Please be careful on the roads later today and this evening.

UPCOMING: Capital Project Public Info Night on Nov. 14

(October 23, 2018) We encourage ICC school district residents to attend our Public Information Night on Wednesday, November 14 at 7 PM in the High School Auditorium. The goal of the evening is making sure the community feels informed about the scope of the proposed Capital Improvement Project before deciding on the Project in a vote scheduled for Wednesday, December 12. New Half Day Dismissal and Brunch Times

(November 5, 2018) There are two half days coming up on Thursday, November 15 and Thursday, December 6. These half days are only for the Primary School and Middle School (grades K-8). The High School has a full day of school on both days. There are new half day dismissal and bus departure times this year due to the single bus run. Additionally, there is now brunch time scheduled for students on half days. Learn more


Students Selected for NYSSMA All State Music Fest on Nov. 16-17

(November 5, 2018) Fourteen students from the Ichabod Crane High School Music Department have been selected to attend the NYSSMA Area All State Festival November 16-17 at FDR High School in Hyde Park, N.Y. See which students were chosen here.


Boys Modified Soccer Wrap-Up Record Season

Ichabod Crane Mourns Passing of Melissa Murray

It is with great sadness we inform the community that long-time Ichabod Crane staff member, Melissa Murray, passed away this Thursday after a long courageous battle with cancer. Melissa held many roles over her 34-year career at Ichabod Crane until she retired in 2017. During her distinguished career she served as a teacher, principal and district administrator. Through these roles she made a positive impact on students, staff and members of the community. Melissa was a loved member of the Ichabod Crane family and we will miss her. On behalf of the entire Ichabod Crane school community, we share our deepest sympathy and condolences to Melissa's family and friends. Donations in Melissa's memory may be made to COARC, 630 Rt. 217, Mellenville NY 12544 to benefit her sister, Maureen, and the entire program.

Primary School Library Card Initiative

(October 22, 2018) We're pleased to announce the start of our Primary School Library Card Initiative! In an effort to encourage student reading at an early age, this year all the Primary School classes are visiting the Kinderhook Library, where students will sign-up for a public library card. Information About the Coxsackievirus in the District

(October 19, 2018) This week, we sent students home with a letter about four reported cases of the Coxsackievirus in the District. It includes information about preventing the spread of the virus and about when to keep your child home from school. All ICC parents/guardians should read it. High School Students Attend Fall College Fair

(October 17, 2018) ICC High School students attended the annual fall College Fair in the ICC gym on October 16. There were 203 students in attendance from 4 school districts (ICC, Chatham, New Lebanon and Maple Hill) and 44 colleges represented. The ICC Counseling Center thanks all the faculty/staff for allowing their students to attend!

(October 10, 2018) The web address (URL) for the District SchoolTool login has changed to https://schooltool12.neric.org/SchoolTool_KIND/. If you have SchoolTool bookmarked on your web browser, please update the URL to reflect this. The links to SchoolTool on our District website now direct to this new URL as well.

Please note, all login names and passwords are the same, only the URL has changed.


District Wears Blue and White for Spirit and Support

(October 4, 2018) Today almost all of the ICC staff wore blue and white for two reasons.

  1. To show school spirit! Next week is Spirit Week and blue and white are the ICC school colors!
  2. To show District support for retired ICC staff member, Melissa Murray, who was diagnosed with lung cancer several years ago.

Wearing the school colors was a great way to head into Spirit Week and to show the District standing in solidarity for an amazing former staff member. You can see more staff in their blue and white here.
