(October 10, 2018) The web address (URL) for the District SchoolTool login has changed to If you have SchoolTool bookmarked on your web browser, please update the URL to reflect this. The links to SchoolTool on our District website now direct to this new URL as well.

Please note, all login names and passwords are the same, only the URL has changed.

District Wears Blue and White for Spirit and Support

(October 4, 2018) Today almost all of the ICC staff wore blue and white for two reasons.

  1. To show school spirit! Next week is Spirit Week and blue and white are the ICC school colors!
  2. To show District support for retired ICC staff member, Melissa Murray, who was diagnosed with lung cancer several years ago.

Wearing the school colors was a great way to head into Spirit Week and to show the District standing in solidarity for an amazing former staff member. You can see more staff in their blue and white here.

Valatie Veteran's 5K to Benefit ICC BackPack Program

(October 1, 2018) Boy Scout Troop 2114 are holding their annual Valatie Veteran’s 5K on Saturday, November 10, 2018. The proceeds from this year’s race will directly benefit the BackPack Program for Ichabod Crane Central School District students. Learn more

Board Adopts 2018 Capital Project

(September 19, 2018) The Board of Education adopted a Capital Improvement Project proposal for the Ichabod Crane CSD during its meeting on September 17. The $27,115,200 project would modernize classroom space, strengthen our educational and athletic programs, and address health & safety and infrastructure concerns. The proposal follows a comprehensive Building Condition Survey and programmatic review our District recently conducted to assess the physical condition of our buildings & grounds and determine how our facilities could best support the needs of our students. ICC anticipates receiving 73.5% in NYS building aid, meaning our District’s share is projected to be 26.5% of the total cost, or $7,185,528. District residents will decide on the project in a vote scheduled for December 12, 2018. Detailed Informational materials are available on our Capital Projects web page...

Opioid Overdose Rescue Training for Staff on October 3

(September 17, 2018) The Ichabod Crane School District and the Chatham School District are working with the NYS Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services (NYS OASAS) to offer a free training opportunity for staff on the use of Narcan to prevent a suspected opioid overdose. The training is on October 3 at Chatham High School from 6 - 7:30 pm. Learn more

Important Letter Home from the District

(September 12, 2018) Today we will be sending student's home with a letter about a perceived online threat made to the high school after dismissal yesterday.The Columbia County Sheriff's Department investigated the matter and found no credible threat to our schools or students. UPDATE: First Day Bus Departure Delay

(September 6, 2018 - 4 PM) Due to weather, power outage and first day complications, busses were delayed by 45-minutes leaving the campus today. They are currently out on the roads and students will be dropped off shortly. Power was out on the campus for close to an hour. Phones and internet were down due to this. We apologize if anyone tried to contact the district during this time period and did not receive an answer.

School Bus Ambassadors

(September 4, 2018) We are happy to announce the start of the School Bus Ambassador program, coinciding with our new single bus run. Ambassadors will be high school students, present on each large bus, who serve as mentors, role models and advocates for our younger students. They will help our younger students adjust to riding with older peers and serve as a channel between students and drivers. Students selected as ambassadors will receive community service recognition from the District.

PSAT Exams for ICC Juniors on October 10, 2018

(September 4, 2018) There will be a practice SAT exam for ICC juniors on Wednesday, October 10. This will also be a chance for juniors to enter the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) scholarship programs. Registration deadline is Tuesday, September 11. Learn more
