Residents Approve Budget & Elect Rose, Farrell & Antalek to the Board of Education
(May 19, 2015) Ichabod Central School District residents have approved a $37,552,000 budget for the 2015-16 school year by a vote of 762 (yes) to 335 (no). The proposed budget is a 4.95 percent increase in spending over the current year’s budget and 2.59 percent tax levy increase, which is at the District’s allowable tax levy limit under the state’s tax levy cap legislation.
Voters also approved a $319,000 bus proposition to purchase four new buses by a vote of 754 (yes) to 338 (no).
Additionally, five candidates were elected to three seats on the Board of Education. Results are:

*Elected to three-year terms beginning July 1, 2015.

Boys Baseball Sectionals
(May 19, 2015) The IC varsity baseball team was defeated 11-0 by Schuylerville in the first round of the Class B sectionals on Tuesday, May 19.

Blood Drive at the High School May 28
(May 15, 2015) The Ichabod Crane High School Student Council will be hosting a Blood Drive on Thursday, May 28 in conjunction with the American Red Cross. The drive will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. Walk-ins are welcome; appointments are appreciated. Anyone interested in donating blood can sign up online at redcrossblood.org.

Three ICHS Student Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

(May 12, 2015) This afternoon, three Ichabod Crane student athletes signed letters of intent to play sports at the next level. Surrounded by family, friends, coaches, teachers and administrators, the athletes signed their letters in a ceremony in the Ichabod Crane High School Gymnasium, officially committing to participate in NCAA athletics at a college or university. ICHS Summer Driver's Education Course
(May 8, 2015) Registration for the Summer Driver’s Education Course will take place Monday, May 18, Wednesday, May 20, and Thursday, May 21 from 2:30 to 3:30 in Room 113. You must bring your NYS driver’s license or permit, the $280.00 fee in cash or check, and a signed application to register. Applications are now available in the main office or download here.
IC Elementary Students Raise $4101 for St. Jude Children's Hospital Through Math!
(May 5, 2015) From February into March, several students in 4th and 5th grades participated in Math-a-Thon, a fundraiser to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This year, the students set an Ichabod Crane school record in fundraising for the Math-a-Thon by raising $4,101 for St. Judes. To participate in Math-a-Thon, students had to collect donations from family and friends and complete a math Funbook. ICHS Student Wins First Place in Skills USA Competition

ICC Elementary/Middle School Earns $1000 Bonus for Hannaford Helps Schools Program

(April 28, 2015) Ichabod Crane Elementary/Middle School raised the most “School Dollars” in the community through the Hannaford Helps Schools program in 2014, and was rewarded with a $1,000 bonus check from the Kinderhook store. In all, the school earned more than $1,700 through the program. Mr. Farley says the money will be used to purchase a 3D printer (Solidoodle Workbench model) for the 2015-16 school year. Learn More

ICC Odyssey of the Mind Teams Take 5th & 6th in the State
(April 13, 2015) ICC's two Odyssey of the Mind teams competed in the State Tournament at Binghamton State University on Saturday. Our Division I team finished 5th out of 13 teams and our Division II team finished 6th out of 11 teams.
