2017 Girls Varsity Soccer Season Wrap Up

Submitted by Coach Sean Dugan
At the end of our sectional loss the coach from Mechanicville, the number 8 ranked team in the state, said to me “You guys are a lot better than a 15 seed” and he was right. Our team this season was much better than our win/loss record would indicate as we were very competitive in several of the games we lost. In addition to a new coach, a new style and new formations there were also a lot of new faces as this young team came together. Our senior leadership was excellent lead by our captains Althea Mensing, Chloe Pratt and Ellie Plourde but the difficult competition and some key injuries resulted in a finish short of our goal. But no matter what the record or the score of a game the team never stopped working hard for each other and kept a positive attitude every day. Learn More
