Board Hosts Community Forum on Capital Project

(July 25, 2018) On the evening of July 24, more than 50 residents participated in a community forum the Board of Education hosted to gather input on the Capital Improvement Project it is developing for Ichabod Crane CSD. During the meeting, school officials and representatives from the firms C.S. Arch (architect), Turner Construction (construction management), and Bernard P. Donegan Inc. (fiscal advisor) presented an overview of the renovations now being considered by the Board and the project's potential financial impact, which will depend on the size of the project the Board chooses to propose. Throughout the presentation, residents took the opportunity to ask questions and make suggestions about what they wanted to see included in the project. With this feedback in hand, the Board will meet next on August 7, 6:30 p.m. in the high school library to continue its discussion of the capital project. The July 24 presentation, along with other information about the project, is available on our Capital Projects webpage.
