Non-Instructional Positions
Director of Operations
Salary Range = $130,000 – $140,000 Annual
Start Date: July 1, 2024
Hiring is provisional and requires successful completion of a Civil Service exam.
Overview:
- The Director of Operations will manage the departments of Transportation and Facilities.
- The Director’s primary responsibilities for each department will include: budget development, expenditure approvals, all state and federal regulatory oversight, long and short term capital planning, workflow systems, health and safety compliance and employee relations such as hiring and discipline.
- The Director of Operations will directly supervise and disseminate departmental activities through the Head Bus Driver in Transportation and Head Mechanic in Facilities.
- This position will report directly to the Business Manager II in the district’s Central Office and be an integral member of the Superintendent’s administrative team.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from High School or possession of a high school equivalency diploma AND
- 8 years of management experience, 4 of those being in a supervisory capacity AND
- 6 years of experience in school facilities maintenance, general building construction, building and/or grounds maintenance or repair work in two or more of the skilled trades, which include two years of employee supervision experience. AND
- 6 years of work experience vehicle dispatching, and/or driving vehicles, route scheduling or fleet maintenance for a private or public enterprise such as trucking company, municipal transportation system, school bus system or similar activity.

Maintenance Department – Night Cleaner
$22/hour
40 hours/week
Start date: March 1, 2024
Required: High School Diploma
Additional details: Qualified candidates shall have an understanding of institutional cleaning, be able to work independently, as well as in groups, to complete assigned tasks. All candidates must be in good physical condition to meet the demands of the position (mopping, lifting, shoveling snow, grounds work).
