This Monday, Columbia County Sheriff David Bartlett & First Sergeant Louis Bray visited Mr. Allard’s & Mr. Moon’s Aerospace classes where they demonstrated the official Sheriff’s Department drone.

Students learned about the many uses for drones – also called Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) – which are valuable tools not only for law enforcement but for a wide variety of things like bridge inspections, land surveying and an efficient way of taking group photos.

Below are some pictures of the demonstration along with a couple of pictures taken by the drone. They’re the last two images in the gallery: the first is a wide shot of the entire ICC campus from way up high and the second is way up high but zoomed in on Mr. Moon’s and Mr. Allard’s class!
