Read for Ronald McDonald House kicked off this month with a ceremony at the Primary School, featuring the always wonderful sight of Principal Williams wearing her crown, cape and Ronald McDonald shoes! Scroll down for some pictures of the kickoff.

As of February 7, all Primary students should have received their Read for Ronald McDonald House packets. The reading challenge runs from February 10-21. The goal this year is to have at least 75 participants and/or raise $5,000 at the Primary School.

For those unfamiliar with Read for Ronald McDonald House, as per their website:

Through Read for RMH, students read and earn donations to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region and the families we serve. Students are given a unique opportunity to use their reading skills to help other children who are sick and their families. In addition to helping the children and families of the House, the program promotes the value of community service, encourages students to read, and benefits the participating school or youth group by offering a rebate of 10% of funds raised going back to the school/group.
