NYSPHSAA Delays Fall 2020 Athletics, Cancels Fall Championships
Also today, the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) announced they have delayed the official start date of the Fall 2020 sports season and are canceling Fall 2020 Regional and State Championships.
As of now, the delayed start date for the Fall 2020 NYSPHSAA sports season is tentatively set for September 21. Should COVID-19 prevent starting high school sports for the remainder of 2020, NYSPHSAA will prepare to implement a condensed season schedule in January 2021.
