As the well deserved Holiday Recess continues, a quick reminder to spend the time responsibly.

Yesterday (December 28) the Columbia County Department of Health reported that since Christmas Day there have been 115 new recorded cases of COVID-19 in the county: 49 cases on Christmas Day, 35 cases on December 26 and 31 cases on December 27. At the time of the report’s publication, active county cases are nearing 300, with 500+ individuals in mandatory quarantine, 13 individuals hospitalized and 1 in the ICU.

The district may be on a break but COVID-19 is not. Please celebrate New Years’ smartly and spend the remaining time off making safe choices that let Ichabod Crane schools not only reopen on January 4 but stay open.
