We want to let Ichabod Crane families know about a great local summer employment/professional training opportunity available to Ichabod Crane students ages 14+ who meet income requirement guidelines. Columbia-Greene Workforce New York is currently recruiting for the Summer Youth Employment and Training Program (SYETP). This grant-funded program pairs chosen students with a 6-week summer job at Columbia or Greene County job site at a rate of $12.50/hour.

To apply for the SYETP program, complete the application linked below – make sure to include any required support documentation to confirm program eligibility. Students under age 18 must have a parent/guardian sign their application. Do not wait to apply if you or your Ichabod Crane student is interested in applying for SYETP – all applications are due May 7, 2021.

Eligibility Guidelines for the Summer Youth Employment & Training Program:
All applicants must meet certain income guidelines to be eligible for the SYETP program. Individuals receiving one or more of the following are automatically income-eligible. All other applicants’ family income will be reviewed for eligibility.
• Food Stamps
• SSI
• HEAP
• Medicaid
• Department of Social Services SNAP
• In foster care placement
