Student-teacher, Megan Hunt, recently created a Social Studies unit for Mrs. Luckfield and Mrs. Turrin’s kindergarten classes. Students learned about different jobs right here in our school community like police officers, firefighters, farmers, nurses and more. They then wrote about what they want to be when they grow up.
Mrs. Hunt challenged the students to think about how our Hometown Heroes are like Super Heroes: they are brave, they take care of us, they keep us safe. Deputy Sam, Ichabod’s School Resource Officer, visited the students to explain her job and a local farmer joined the students via Google Meet to show the responsibilities on her farm.
