Education opens doors, including the door to the vast and increasingly connected world we live in. At Ichabod Crane, this commitment to developing global citizens is reflected in our Portrait of a Rider, a key component of our Instructional Program Vision.
In February’s Rider Report, we have dedicated the entire edition to this priority and to the many meaningful pathways and courses we offer students to engage with the world around them. These include World Language and English as a New Language (ENL) instruction, our International Scholars Program, the New York State Seal of Biliteracy and the Angelo Del Toro Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute (PR/HYLI).
These opportunities help students build confidence, leadership skills and cultural proficiency. In November, we hosted our first-ever Celebration of Languages and International Scholars, welcoming dozens of students, their families, staff and community members to celebrate this shared commitment.

En noviembre, celebramos nuestra primera Jornada de Idiomas y Estudiantes Internacionales, dando la bienvenida a decenas de estudiantes, sus familias, personal docente y miembros de la comunidad para celebrar este compromiso compartido.
