The 2026-27 School Budget Vote and Board of Education Election will take place on May 19, 2026. Polls will be open 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the HIgh School Gymnasium.
VOTER ELIGIBILITY
You are eligible to vote in the district’s annual Budget Vote and Board of Education Election if you are a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old and a resident of the school district for at least 30 days prior to the vote.
VOTER REGISTRATION
You must be registered before you are permitted to vote. You are already registered if you have:
- Voted in a district election, such as the Budget Vote and Board of Education Election, within the last four (4) years
- Voted in a general election as a district resident within the last four (4) years
Qualified voters may register with the Ichabod Crane District Clerk in Central Office, Monday through Friday (8 a.m. to 4 p.m) or with the County Board of Elections and must be registered by May 14, 2026 to participate in this year’s Budget Vote and Board of Education Election on May 19, 2026.
ABSENTEE & EARLY MAIL VOTER BALLOTS
Any district resident who wishes to vote early or who will be unable to vote in person, may request an absentee ballot or early mail voter ballot.
Applications for absentee ballots and early mail voter ballots must be received at the office of the School District Clerk by 4:00 p.m. on May 12, 2026 if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter or by 4:00 p.m. on May 18, 2026, if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter.
Completed ballots must be received by the School District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m., May 19, 2026.

BOLETAS DE VOTO EN AUSENCIA Y POR CORREO ANTICIPADO
Cualquier residente del distrito que desee votar con antelación, o que no pueda votar en persona, puede solicitar una boleta de voto en ausencia o una boleta de voto por correo anticipado.
Las solicitudes para boletas de voto en ausencia y por correo anticipado deben recibirse en la oficina de la Secretaria del Distrito Escolar a más tardar a las 4:00 p.m. del 12 de mayo de 2026 si la boleta se enviará por correo al votante, o a más tardar a las 4:00 p.m. del 18 de mayo de 2026 si la boleta se entregará personalmente al votante.
Las boletas completadas deben ser recibidas por la Secretaria del Distrito Escolar a más tardar a las 5:00 p.m. del 19 de mayo de 2026.
