CLASS RANKING FOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATING STUDENTS
Class rank for High School graduating students is determined after the end of the first semester of the senior school year. Students who have declared their intentions to graduate and who remain eligible for graduation will be given a class rank.
School year class ranking will not be provided on the High School transcript. The transcript will indicate the student’s weighted grade point average and decile ranking within the senior class. Individual class rank of a student will be indicated on a certificate that will be provided to colleges or scholarship agencies at the request of the college, agency, student or parent.
Students transferring during the second semester of their senior year from other high schools will be given a class rank if they are enrolled at the time class rank is determined. Students who transfer in as seniors are not eligible for valedictorian or salutatorian. That class rank may be determined by the student’s previous high school or this district’s high school.
