Riders of the Month

In November 2014, Ichabod Crane High School proudly began a new tradition of honoring our students that demonstrate our school district’s mission and community values. These students have been recognized by high school teachers and staff for exemplifying what it means to be an Ichabod Crane Rider. They exhibit all-around good character, morals and demonstrate Rider values and Rider pride in the classroom, in sports, arts, music, volunteering in the Pre-K classroom and in the community.

Bailee Drummond, 9th Grade
“Bailee is always on point, always gives her best effort and never needs redirecting.”

Catherine Farley, 9th Grade
“Catherine is a dedicated student who is always willing to help those around her. Catherine has a wonderful attitude and seems to face each day with a bright smile on her face. She is a valued member of the Crane Acting Troupe and serves as a positive role model for her peers.”

Rachel Pozzi, 10th Grade
“A dependable, hard-working student. She holds herself to a high standard and does not compromise. She is extremely kind to peers and adults and greets each day with a positive attitude. Lucky to have her in class! ”

Ellie Marshall, 10th Grade
“A great student and a leader of class discussions. She is willing to tackle the difficult subjects and manages to maintain a friendly supportive environment in the classroom as she does so. Ellie respects the opinions of all and encourages those who would not normally speak up to do so.”

Ken Rectazo, 11th Grade
“A junior who first came to ICC two years ago. He is a very hard-working student who has a passion for basketball. Ken has played basketball for the Riders the last two seasons and is also a member of the ICC Tennis Team. He is an active member of SALA Latina/I.S.O. and is tri-lingual. He is an extremely polite and thoughtful young man, whose favorite classes are Math and Transportation Systems. He enjoys spending time with his family.”

Coltin Luckfield, 11th Grade
“He’s wanted to be a Rider of the Month for as long as he has been in school. Recently, he has come into homeroom every day greeting people and trying to bring the spirits of folks up before starting their day. He is a tri-season athlete and never hesitates to help out a teammate.”

Harrison Puckett, 12th Grade
“Harrison has never been a Rider of the Month, but certainly warrants the designation. He is a scholar-athlete, Channel 13 Athlete of the Week, Varsity Club Secretary, Class of 2020 Treasurer…I am nominating him for other reasons though. I witnessed him ask a senior student that has sat by herself all year in the cafeteria to sit with him and his friends. In fact, he wouldn’t take no for an answer (she tells me). This student is now sitting at that table each day. It was heartwarming!”

Anna O’Shea, 12th Grade
“A wonderful candidate for Rider of the month. She juggles her school work with being the student representative on the School Board, the lead in the upcoming Crane Acting Troupe production of The Little Mermaid, President of the Model UN Club, co-secretary of the senior class, and multiple other tasks throughout the year. Anna took an active role as a lead delegate in the Harvard Model UN convention this year, assisting the 23 members of the club to find meaningful involvement in the greater conference.”
