The Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation sponsors a yearly youth leadership seminar that “prepares our country’s high school students to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, schools, workplace and community.” The Ichabod Crane High School representatives for 2020 were Olivia Dumont and Nicole Hilbert.
HOBY started in 1958 by the legendary actor Hugh O’Brian. HOBY’s vision is “To motivate and empower individuals to make a positive difference within our global society through understanding and action, based on effective and compassionate leadership.” The 2020 HOBY-NYE Leadership Seminar was held virtually since they could not sponsor an in-person event this year.
