The Primary School recently celebrated “Race to Read” week during each class’s library time. Race to Read is a special book distribution program generously sponsored by the Ichabod Crane PTA. Every student in the Primary School was given the opportunity to select a free book that they can keep forever! To help foster a lifetime love of reading guest readers were also invited to read to each class. Special guests shared their love of reading virtually this year by either recording a story or by joining a Google Meet. Guests included Principal Williams, Deputy & SRO Sam Plass, librarians from the Kinderhook & Valatie Public Libraries and many of our students’ parents/caregivers.
“The students love hearing from our guest readers, and we sincerely thank them for their time,” said Primary School Librarian Ms. Moss.
