We are so proud to announce that Elizabeth Holliday is the Valedictorian and Abigail Trinkle is the Salutatorian of the Class of 2023!
“We are so proud of Elizabeth and Abigail for this impressive accomplishment and well-deserved recognition,” High School Principal Craig Shull said. “Both Elizabeth and Abigail worked incredibly hard to excel in their classes. Not only did they reach their goals, but they contributed to each class through their participation, insight, and great personalities. Our High School is very proud of our Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Class of 2023!”
Elizabeth is currently attending the New Visions program, focusing on medical studies. New Visions is a full-year, honors-level program that requires an application and interviews. She will be continuing her medical education at Hofstra University on Long Island, where she will major in PA studies.
“I was thrilled when I found out that I was named valedictorian,” Elizabeth said. “I have been very dedicated to school and it is just nice to know it has all come together at the end.”
Elizabeth also plays travel softball and is a long-time dancer, specializing in tap. She is a member of the High School’s Interact and French Clubs.
Abigail said that she and Elizabeth have been friends since the first day of school, where they rode the bus together in kindergarten, making their accomplishments even more special.
“It is nice that my long-time friend, Liz, and I are finishing high school beside each other,” she said.
Abigail is currently attending Hudson Valley Community College full-time, where she is studying psychology, business law, financial accounting and American government. She has decided to attend Siena College in Loudonville, where she plans to study business management or entrepreneurship, with the goal of becoming a professional horse rider and trainer for dressage horses. She said she has her own horse, Mimi, who is 6 years old.
She was also involved in ICC’s music department, singing in the chorus and playing piccolo and flute. She also spends much time outdoors, hiking, biking and loving nature. She also enjoys art, especially painting in watercolor and oils.

Elizabeth actualmente asiste al programa New Visions, enfocándose en estudios médicos. New Visions es un programa de nivel de honores de un año completo que requiere una solicitud y entrevistas. Continuará su educación médica en la Universidad de Hofstra en Long Island, donde se especializará en estudios de PA.
“Me emocioné cuando descubrí que me nombraron valedictorian,” dijo Elizabeth. “Me he dedicado mucho a la escuela y es bueno saber que todo salió bien al final”.
Elizabeth también juega softbol de viaje y es bailarina desde hace mucho tiempo, y se especializa en tap. Es miembro de los clubes Interact y French de la escuela secundaria.
Abigail dijo que ella y Elizabeth han sido amigas desde el primer día de clases, cuando viajaron juntas en el autobús en el jardín de infantes, lo que hizo que sus logros fueran aún más especiales.
“Es bueno que mi amiga de mucho tiempo, Liz, y yo estemos terminando la escuela secundaria uno al lado del otro,” dijo.
Abigail actualmente asiste a tiempo completo al Hudson Valley Community College, donde estudia psicología, derecho comercial, contabilidad financiera y gobierno estadounidense. Ha decidido asistir a Siena College en Loudonville, donde planea estudiar administración de empresas o emprendimiento, con el objetivo de convertirse en jinete profesional y entrenadora de caballos de doma. Dijo que tiene su propio caballo, Mimi, que tiene 6 años.
También participó en el departamento de música de ICC, cantando en el coro y tocando flautín y flauta. También pasa mucho tiempo al aire libre, haciendo senderismo, andando en bicicleta y amando la naturaleza. También le gusta el arte, especialmente la pintura en acuarela y óleo.
