Dear Ichabod Crane Community,
We recently changed the way we communicate positive cases of COVID-19 within the district.
This afternoon, we launched a new COVID Tracker Page on our website, where we will post a weekly summary of all confirmed positive cases in each building. This page will be updated on Friday afternoons, and can be found here. Also on this page, we will list the positive cases from previous weeks, again listed by building.
Please note that all individuals identified as a close contact to a positive case will continue to receive immediate and direct communication.
We are adhering to the regional contact tracing guidelines, developed and adopted by eight local counties, in conjunction with several county health departments and public health commissioners. These protocols are detailed in a set of flow charts available here.
For a more frequent update on confirmed positive cases, New York State has reopened the School COVID-19 Report Card, where positive test results are reported daily. We are required to disclose positive test results to the state to be included in this dashboard, and we are committed to accurately reporting any positive test within our district as required by the state.
