The 5th-graders celebrated Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) last Friday, November 1 in Western World Studies.

For those who don’t know, the Mexican holiday (also celebrated in other Latin American countries, too) is when families honor relatives and friends who have died. The students made/decorated Sugar Skulls for their own remembrance displays filled with photos and mementos of those they want to remember.
