Proposed Capital Improvement Project - 2018

Capital Project Vote is December 12, 2018

Voting takes place 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Ichabod Crane High School gymnasium

Ichabod Crane CSD is proposing a $27,115,200 Capital Improvement Project that would modernize classroom space, strengthen our educational and athletic programs, and address health & safety and infrastructure concerns. The proposal follows a comprehensive Building Condition Survey and programmatic review our District recently conducted to assess the physical condition of our buildings & grounds and determine how our facilities could best support the needs of our students, both now and in the future. District residents will be asked to decide on the project in a referendum scheduled for December 12.

ICCSD anticipates receiving 73.5% in NYS building aid on this project, meaning our District’s share is projected to be 26.5%. The District will also apply $1,000,000 in reserves to the project to further reduce the impact the project would have on local taxes. If approved, the project would require an increase to property taxes (see Estimated Financial Impact below).
