The following message was emailed to all Ichabod Crane families on Tuesday, June 15, after Governor Cuomo’s remarks earlier in the day regarding COVID-19 restrictions being lifted across many commercial and social settings in New York State.

On Tuesday, June 15, Governor Cuomo announced that many state-mandated COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted across commercial and social settings. However, he also stated that the latest mask requirements we shared with you last week remain in effect for schools.
Since there was no other new explicit guidance for schools in the Governor’s announcement, as of now there are no further changes in COVID protocols at Ichabod Crane. In addition, previously announced plans for 2021 Graduation and other end-of-year events have not changed at this time since we have not received any additional NYS or Department of Health guidance that restrictions around them have loosened.
Should New York State or Department of Health guidance related to schools change before the end of the school year we will communicate any of those changes to families.
